What types of organizations do you work with?
We serve a wide range of organizations across the New York metro area, including NYC public schools and the NYC DOE, municipal agencies, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, law firms, corporate offices, and small businesses. We also work with upstate NY municipalities on records management and LGRMIF grant projects.
What is LGS-1 compliance, and does my organization need it?
LGS-1 (Local Government Schedule 1) is the NYS official records retention schedule for local government agencies, municipalities, and school districts. If your organization is a NYS municipality, county, town, village, school district, or public authority, you are required to manage records in accordance with LGS-1. We build compliant records programs, retention schedules, and documentation systems that keep you on the right side of NYS regulations.
How long does a typical project take?
Timelines vary by scope. A single-room organizing project typically takes 1–3 days. A full records management compliance program runs 4–12 weeks depending on record volume. Inventory management projects take 1–5 days. Digital organizing engagements typically take 1–2 weeks. We provide a clear timeline in your custom plan before any work begins.
Are you certified to work with NYC and NYS government agencies?
Yes. Peace of Find holds four procurement certifications: NYS M/WBE, NYC M/WBE, NMSDC MBE, and NYC DOE Certified Vendor status. These allow us to be engaged through sole-source procurement, respond to government RFPs, and participate in agency diversity supplier programs. Do you offer virtual or remote services?
Yes. We offer comprehensive virtual consulting for digital organization, workflow design, and team training — available to organizations nationwide. Physical space and inventory work is provided on-site across the NYC metro area, Long Island, Westchester, Dutchess, and select areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Extended travel is available for larger projects with advance coordination.

Pricing is based on project scope. After your free consultation, we provide a detailed, fixed-price proposal that outlines deliverables, timeline, and cost — so you know exactly what you are getting before any work begins. We work within government procurement requirements, nonprofit budget constraints, and corporate vendor processes.
What happens after the project is complete?
Every engagement includes a follow-up phase with check-ins and staff training to ensure the systems we build are used and maintained. We also offer ongoing support packages for organizations that want periodic check-ins, seasonal reorganization, or help onboarding new staff to existing systems.
